MISSION
The First City Football Club is an amateur/semi-professional adult soccer organization based in Leavenworth, the First City of Kansas. Our mission is to inspire and unite our community through the power and love of soccer. We are committed to excellence on the field and dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact off the field. Through inclusive programs, youth development, and meaningful partnerships, we aim to foster a sense of pride, belonging, and opportunity for all who call our city home. We play as one, for more than just victory, for our community.
VISION
First City Football Club is a partner of Leavenworth Soccer Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been a staple in the soccer community in Leavenworth for over 30 years. The vision of the club is to become a leading force in men's, women’s, and youth soccer, recognized for our local pride, respect, and commitment to excellence. Our goal is to cultivate a legacy of success by developing athletes, promoting a positive team culture, and making a lasting impact in our community and beyond.
HOMEGROWN PLEDGE
First City Football Club is a community club. In our view, in order to be a community club, you need to have community talent on the team. For this reason, we have pledged to reserve a number of roster slots on the First Team rosters specifically for homegrown players.
What is a homegrown player? Homegrown means you grew up in the Leavenworth community. You attended school in our community and call our community home. We want playing for the First Team to be a goal for the kids in our community, we want them to feel that pride when they step onto the field to represent their community at the highest level.

STORY BEHIND
THE BADGE
The Badge (or crest) is rooted in our local community. The words First City are prominently in the center to signify Leavenworth as the first city in Kansas.
The river below signifies our historic connection with the Missouri River.
The wagon wheel, which stands for Leavenworth being the starting point of the Oregon and Sante Fe Trails, is surrounded by the sunflower, which is the Kansas state flower.
Lastly the square of the badge (turned on it's side) represents the grid-like orientation of historic downtown.
HOME KIT
-Community Kit-
The home kit is built on a clean white foundation, symbolizing unity within our city.
Embedded within the design are subtle road map lines of the Leavenworth/Lansing community, representing the streets that connect our community and the symbolic grid-like pattern represented in our badge.
The modern graphic detailing adds a bold edge to tradition, while the buffalo on the back collar stands as a symbol of strength, resilience, and our historic roots. Stamped below is “1854,” honoring the year Leavenworth was founded.
AWAY KIT
-River Kit-
The away kit is proudly displayed in our signature 1854 Blue, chosen to represent the year Leavenworth was founded, a color that defines who we are.
Flowing through the design are ripples in the water, symbolizing our historic connection to the Missouri River, where it all began.
The river fueled the growth of Leavenworth, and today it represents momentum, movement, and our commitment to always be there.
On the back collar is the signature 'Sister City' emblem to pay homage to Leavenworth's global connection to local community.
KEEPER KIT
-Sister Cities Kit-
In collaboration with local college art student, Emilio Gutierrez, First City FC introduces a special badge placed on both Goal Keeper kits.
This design features the outline of three flowers representing Leavenworth and our sister cities.
The water lily growing along the Missouri River, the cherry blossom of Omi-Hachiman, Japan, and the golden wattle of Wagga Wagga, Australia.
Together, these symbols reflect local pride and global connection, rooted in history, united through sport.
