Misconduct Outcomes
​
Yellow Card Accumulation
Accumulating 4 yellow cards results in a 1 game suspension. This is a recreational league focused on enjoying the game, just have fun.

Yellow Card for Dissent Toward the Referee
First incident is a warning from the league.
A second occurrence imposes a 1 match suspension served during the next match.
Sending off for 2nd Yellow Card
Standard rules apply, disqualified for the remainder of the current match and miss the next match.
Only the 1st yellow card counts toward accumulation.
Sending off for Straight Red Card
Automatic 2 match suspension (remainder of current match + 2 matches), appeals may be considered.
Sending off for Straight Red Card for
Violent Conduct/Fighting
Automatic removal from the league for the remainder of the season. Again, this is a recreational league focused on enjoying the game.
Rules of the Competition (Changes from Standard LOTG)
Law 1- The Field
Smaller field, approx. U12 size; field will be marked utilizing smaller dimensions for all field markings

Law 2- The Ball
No change, size 5 ball

Law 3- The Players
Teams will play 7v7 (1 GK + 6 field players); Minimum number to play is 5 (1 GK + 4 field players); Unlimited substitutions

Law 4- Player’s Equipment
Teams are given game shirts; cleats or sport shoes and shin guards fully covered by socks are mandatory; GK jersey not required, but Keeper needs to wear a different shirt

Law 5- The Referee
No change
​
Law 6- Other Officials
No other match officials, Center Referee only
​
Law 7- Duration of Match
40-min match (2- 20-min halves); 5-min halftime

Law 8- Start and Restart of Play
No change

Law 9- Ball In & Out of Play
No change

Law 10- Outcome of a Match
10-goal mercy rule, at the discretion of the losing team’s Captain

Law 11- Offside
No offside, but teams shall refrain from cherry picking in the spirit of the law
​
Law 12- Fouls and Misconduct
No slide tackling, restart is IFK for dangerous play; if contact is made with an opponent restart as Direct Free Kick
​
Law 13- Free Kicks
No change; safety standoff distance is 8 yards
​
Law 14- Penalty Kicks
No change
​
Law 15- Throw-ins
Kick-ins will be utilized; team in possession has 6 seconds to take kick-in
Time infraction = possession change; 2yd standoff distance

Law 16- Goal Kicks
No change
​
Law 17- Corner Kicks
No change; safety standoff distance is 8 yards
