New Adult Recreational Soccer League Kicks Off This Season
Adults across the region now have a new way to stay active, connect socially, and rediscover the fun of the game with the launch of Adult Recreational Soccer, presented by First City FC. Designed for players ages 18 and older, the league offers a welcoming, low-pressure environment for anyone looking to enjoy soccer again, no matter their experience level.
The league features organized weekly matches, certified referees, and a structured schedule focused on fitness, fun, and community. Open to both men and women, the adult recreational program welcomes everyone from former players to first-timers simply looking to have a good time. The emphasis is on fair play, camaraderie, and a shared love of the game.
League highlights include:
7v7 format on smaller U12-sized fields
40-minute matches
Weekly games on Saturday mornings (excluding Fourth of July weekend)
Team and individual registration options
Two division options: recreational and more competitive (based on registration)
Emphasis on sportsmanship, fun, and camaraderie
The inaugural season begins June 6 and runs through August 1. Players may register as a full team by designating a Team Captain or sign up as a “free agent” to be placed on a team in need of players. Teams must have a minimum of 9 players and may carry up to 14. Game-day shirts will be provided for all teams.
Team Captains are responsible for overall team conduct, rules compliance, ensuring sufficient number of players on game days, and coordinating practices if the team chooses to hold them.
