Welcome to First City!

The idea for First City Football Club is a long time coming. For years, conversations have circled around bringing an adult soccer club to the Leavenworth community. Some have tried, with their hearts in the right place, but it just hasn’t caught on…

Until now…

First City FC was created to unite the soccer heartbeat of this community and give it a true home! This club is about channeling passion into purpose, about building something that represents who we are and what we believe in. To be an extension of the hard-working community it represents.

Our staff and players are fired up for the inaugural season of showing what community pride looks like. We are looking forward to giving the local community something to rally behind on the weekends. Something kids can dream of becoming part of.

Many people don’t realize that high-level adult soccer exists beyond the MLS. Around the country players compete for the love of the game, for fun in recreational leagues, for fitness in over-40 competition, or elite environments driven by that unshakable competitive fire.

First City FC competes in the Midwest Premier League, a highly competitive regional league spanning eight Midwest states. This level of play opens the door to the U.S. Open Cup, where clubs like ours can earn the chance to face giants such as Sporting KC, LA Galaxy, and other professional powerhouses.

Let’s be clear:

This isn’t just for fun.

This isn’t just for fitness.

This is for the competitive passion of our community.

The season is fast approaching, and while there’s plenty to accomplish before our preseason kickoff party (you’re all invited!), we’ll be sharing regular updates so you can follow the journey every step of the way.
