First City Football Club continues to grow rapidly as preparations ramp up for the upcoming season. With roster development underway, league play on the horizon, and new opportunities for community involvement, there is plenty of exciting progress to share with our supporters and partners.
Men’s First Team
Roster-
The Men’s First Team is taking shape, with 12 players officially signed and an additional 7 players in the process of finalizing contracts.
Staying true to our mission as a community-first club, First City FC has committed to reserving four roster spots for Homegrown players, local athletes who grew up and attended school in our community. These positions are exclusively dedicated to local talent.
Schedule-
The official 2026 schedule will be released mid-February. The season will feature 10 matches, running from early May through late July, including five home matches and five away matches, with the potential for postseason play.
Uniforms-
Both the home and away kits will be officially unveiled at the club’s Pre-Season Kickoff Party in April. Additional details about this event will be shared soon.
Sponsorship-
First City FC has officially begun its search for local sponsors and business partners to support the 2026 season. We will be reaching out to businesses throughout the community to explore partnership opportunities.
The club’s primary sponsorship positions currently available include:
Front of Uniform / Primary Club Sponsor
Back of Uniform Sponsor
Sleeve Sponsor
Additional sponsorship, partnership, and advertising opportunities are also available. Businesses interested in aligning with a growing local club that prioritizes community impact are encouraged to reach out to Brad Alexander at fcfc.chairman@gmail.com.
League Information-
First City FC competes in the Gateway Conference of the Midwest Premier League, alongside:
Great Plains FC (Shawnee, KS)
Southside FC (Grandview, MO)
Woodland FC (Overland Park, KS)
Union KC Men’s Reserves (Lee’s Summit, MO)
One additional team to be announced
Women’s Team
First City FC is committed to making soccer accessible to everyone in our community. As part of that mission, the club is currently gathering interest in the formation of a competitive women’s team.
Women ages 16 and older who have a strong desire to compete in a pre-professional environment are encouraged to express their interest. This outreach will help the club assess community demand and plan for the successful launch of the program.
Spring Pre-season Camp
First City FC will hold a 1-day camp for youth players in the Leavenworth community. This camp, run by First City FC coaches and players, is designed to target technical development and creating a fun environment to prepare for the upcoming spring season. Visit the Camps page for more information.
Jamboree Soccer
Registration is now open for Spring Jamboree Soccer, a new program designed specifically for players ages 15–18 to bridge the gap between youth and adult soccer, offering an accessible pathway for continued growth and participation.
Jamboree Soccer provides an environment that keeps players connected to the game while focusing on development, fitness, and enjoyment. The program runs alongside the local youth spring soccer season, helping families balance schedules and allowing players to stay involved without additional conflicts.
Adult Recreational League
This summer, it’s the adults’ turn to have some fun! Soccer is a game meant for everyone, so why should the kids have all the fun?
First City FC is excited to offer Adult Recreational Soccer, a community-focused league designed for enjoyment, fitness, and friendly competition. Registration opens in April, with play beginning in June following the conclusion of the local youth soccer season to help keep family schedules simple.
Matches will take place on Saturday mornings, creating a relaxed and social environment built around camaraderie, competition, and fun. Whether you’re a former player or just looking for a new way to stay active, this league is about reconnecting with the game in a welcoming atmosphere.
